Earth

I knew I was going to spend a month in and around Sedona, AZ, as I wanted to test the heat to see if I could stand the summer. So far, so beautiful!

The red earth feels to me like the body of my ancient ruby red mother dragon, who's been slumbering deeply, and is awakening now, calling out to her beloveds, spurring us to find our core purposes for the time we have left on her vast and generous body…

Water

Sedona has a shop unlike any I've seen before, a retail store called Sedona Waterworks. A must visit! https://sedonawaterworks.com/about

People are in and out of Sedona WW all day with wagons and jugs of super healthy water

It was fun to fill up with different kinds of water, but ultimately my favorite was distilled and shungite-infused. As my new friend and Sedona guide Heather says, water is life. Goldie has a 7 gallon tank under her sink, and I carry two 5 gallon tanks aboard as backups. No messing around with low water in the desert!

Air

This morning I got up at 3:15am to take in the valley at a new angle, from up high!

Lift off! Stunning perspective thanks to air, fire,and the ingenuity and efforts of men!

Truly thrilling and awe-inspiring: soaring above the Sonora desert beauty and splendor, with two other balloons floating behind us. Weather conditions had prevented flights for five days, and I felt grateful that our sunrise journey took place. We saw deer and rabbit from up high, and maybe a Javelina, I couldn’t quite tell…

Our jokester captain Mark from Red Rock Balloons has been a pilot for 36 years! He loves his work and it showed.

Fire

Today I visited the Rose Vortex Café, and while waiting for my Berry Nutty smoothie, I drew a card from one of two divination decks. 🔥 I love that the description started with a quote by Chief Sealth/Seattle! Home!

In my next post, I’ll further introduce my friend Heather, and share about her courageous activism, and some harsh pushback she’s undergone for standing up for truth and justice here in Sedona. She’s a firecracker alright, and she’s teaching me more about how for true transformation to take place in our world, we’re gonna have to up the intensity on making a difference! 🧨
